I returned to teaching high school mathematics after over 25 years in the
corporate world to pursue my life long dream of teaching. And I love it. I
love the subject of math and working with high school students. I especially
enjoy working with students struggle with math. My personal goal is to
assist these students in realizing that anyone can learn math. Some people
just need a little extra help along the way.
I teach at Osborne High School in Marietta Georgia.
I am married and one daughter, one son and three stepsons. I am the proud
grandmother of two grandsons. My husband and I have two dogs, Emmy and
Rusty, and one cat, Ali. We have a tropical fish tank. Our backyard is bird
friendly (full of bird feeders and bird baths which attract a large variety
of birds).
I received my bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University. I am
currently working on my Masters degree is Math Education at Kennesaw
State University. I am currently working on my state endorsement for
teaching mathematics to English as a Second Language Learners.
Every student can be successful in the world of math.
