How many books may kindergarten students check out at one time?

At the beginning of the year, we allow kindergarten students to 
borrow one book. In January, kindergarten students may check out 
two books.

Beginning in first grade, students may check out 2 books.

How long may students keep books before they become overdue?

Books are checked out for 2 weeks.

What is your policy about overdue books?

We send overdue notices weekly via email. We send hard copy 
notices once a month. We do not charge fines for overdue books.

What happens if a child loses a book?

We expect our students to pay for lost or severely damaged books. 
In most cases the amount charged will be the replacement cost of 
the book.

When can students visit the media center?

Student may visit the media center at any time between 8:00 a.m. 
and 2:15 p.m. Students may visit the media center with their 
entire class, in a small group, or individually. Kindergarten 
students will be accompanied by a teacher or paraprofessional.
