How does a student see the Counselor?
Each teacher has a Student Request for Counseling poster with request cards. Students are able to complete the card, which is turned into the Counselor. The student will be seen as soon as possible. Parents will be sent notification that their child was seen by the Counselor.Back to Top
Can I be sure that what I say to the Counselor no one else will know?
Confidentiality is a serious matter. Information that is shared in counseling remains there. Confidentiality is broken ONLY when a child expresses a desire to harm himself or others.Back to Top
Are there other ways a student can be seen by the Counselor?
In addition to making a self-referral, parents, teachers, and the administration are able to request counseling for an individual or group of students.Back to Top
