Our goal this year is for every student to read one million words. Research
shows that reading 1,000,000 words raises students' reading levels by one
full grade. In order for all students to meet their goals this year, it is
imperative that they read a minimum of 30 minutes every night. At school,
students will be able to take Accelerated Reading tests for points. I will
keep track of their reading through these points.
For the first 9 weeks, each student is expected to earn a minimum of 5
points during the marking period.
