Homework Folders will be sent home daily. Please check over the homework
with your child. The homework assignments are a review of skills we have
practiced in class. These assignments may seem easy for some children but it
is a reinforcement of skills. Please make sure your child returns their very
personal best in quality and does not rush just to complete the assignment!

"Practice makes perfect" is so true for Reading! I expect every child to
read at least 15 minutes daily (after school). I will send home a Reading
Log for the child to keep up with the reading times and a parent to sign.
I love to reward extra reading time! I really want the children to take
ownership in their reading responsibilities. This program will be more than
just a "sign off". I will discuss what the children are reading at least
once during the week. The Reading Log is in the Monday Homework
Folder.
