Fourth Nine Weeks
Math: We will be focusing on double by single digit multiplication, data collection, graphing and
probability. We will be using an NCAA college basketball bracket for the first few weeks to teach math.
Language Arts: We will be focusing on writing a narrative essay. We will also be studying
nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs using a new program called Shurlely Method. We will conduct a
lot of CRCT practice to help the kids become familiar with the test.
Social Studies: We will be studying changes in Cobb County and cultures around the world.
Science: We will be studying heat and magnets. We will do several experiments involving heat so
that the kids can understand the concept better.
