| Make sure your child is organized when it comes to turning in homework. It
is their responsibility to turn their homework in. They will walk laps at
recess if homework is not turned in. Fourth grade will expect them to start
the year being responsible!!
Homework will be given out Monday through Thursday, unless we decide as a
class that we need to have a lazy night!! All homework is to be returned the
following day. Please make sure your child has a spot at home to do their
homework. I often have children tell me they were on the bus or in the car
doing their homework. It is often these places where homework gets misplaced.
I do expect for homework to be checked by an adult, corrected with the help
of an adult and returned to school.
There are many times when even the adult may not understand the homework
(don't be embarrassed, I have a teacher guide to help me with any
questions!!). If this is the case, just talk it over with your child and I
will help them at school. Then...they can come home and explain it to you!!
The homework that I assign is usually an exact replica of the work we did
during class. It is a great way for you to see what is being taught in the
classroom.
