FAQFrequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to common questions of students and parents.
How do I contact my child's teacher? You may email me at ccgray@atlanta.k12.ga.us or you may call the school office and leave a message if I'm not available 404-256-3317. Please be sure to send your child with a healthy snack to school daily. If my child is sick or on vacation how do we make up the work? I will be sure to set aside the work that was missed. When your child returns to school he/she will have the same amount of time (as the number of days missed) to make up the work. What happens if my child changes his/her afternoon transportation? Let's work together to keep everyone safe! Please send a note regarding any changes in transportation. Specifically state who will be picking your child up and any other necessary details. Can I send a special birthday snack to school? Sure! Please feel free to send in a treat that can be easily divided between everyone. In effort to maximize our learning time please send a quick and easy snack (cookies, cupcakes or fruit cups.) If you deicide to send in party favors or individual goodie bags please leave them with me and I will see to it that they are sent home by the end of the day. If your having a celebration outside of school I will be more than happy to send home invitations. In fairness to all students please provide an invitation for everyone. Thank you! Can I eat lunch with my child? All parents are invited to eat lunch with their child. We ask that you wait until after Labor Day so that your child has time to adjust to daily cafeteria routines. Please do not bring your child a purchased lunch (McDonalds, Chic Filet, etc.) because it is unfair to the other children. Thank you for your cooperation. Should I send spare clothing to school? Yes, we ask that you keep spare clothing inside your child's backpack. This will come in handy if your child gets dirty on the playground or has an accident. |
