Welcome to Kindergarten at Sarah Smith! This is my fourth year of teaching
Kindergarten at the annex, and the eighth year of my teaching career. I
taught Pre-Kindergarten in Nashville for four years before relocating to
Atlanta. I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I
attained a B.S. in Early Childhood Education (PK-3). I am currently
enrolled in the Masters of Early Childhood Education at Georgia State
University. I am excited to be a member of such a wonderful educational
family at Sarah Smith, and I look forward to a great year!
ABOUT THE STUDENT TEACHER:
I am excited to be doing my student teaching with Kenny and Cathy. I'm
getting my Master of Arts in Teaching-Early Childhood Education from
Oglethorpe University. I taught Pre-K Inclusion the past couple of years at
Esther Jackson Elementary School in Roswell. I received my Bachelor of Arts
in Poetry from Georgia State University. After student teaching I hope to
teach either stateside or internationally. My hobbies include running and
reading.
-Jonathan
It is my goal that every child in my classroom experiences academic and
social-emotional success in a safe, nurturing, and educationally sound
environment. It is important that each student feels that they matter as an
individual and begin to understand how their actions and knowledge base can
impact the social and academic environment that they are in.
