Students will have homework Monday-Thursday. That will include: *20 minutes of reading each night: That includes reading independently, reading together, or reading to your parents. *math homework: Parents, please read the purple family math letters sent home at the beginning of every unit to understand the unit they are studying. *SMART phonics homework: The students will have SMART homework most nights that comply with the phonics rule of the week and their spelling words.Back to Top
SMART stands for Systematic Multisensory Approach to Reading Training. This phonics program is very hands-on and we truly believe that it is going to help our children become better, more efficient readers. Although it starts off rather basic, we believe that it is important to reinforce these skills in our children before moving on to more difficult concepts.Back to Top
