My name is Mrs. Larkin. I am brand new to Sarah Smith and Atlanta,
GA. My husband and I just moved here from Kalamazoo, MI in December. I
love the weather here so far and am very happy that we moved to the South!
I am a 5th grade teacher here at Sarah Smith. I graduated with honors from
Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. I majored in Elementary
Education and minored in Math, Science, Early Education, and Integrative
Creative Arts. I was involved with the marching band all four years. I
played the clarinet. I did my student teaching through an Urban Program. I
was placed for a whole year in a second/third grade classroom, where I was
the third grade teacher! I love teaching and am so EXCITED that I get to
use my knowledge from Western at such a wonderful school.
My husband and I are newly married; we just had our two year
anniversary. Although we have no children, we have a kitten named Earl and
a puppy named Lola. They are a lot of fun and have a lot of energy!
I look forward to working with the students and adults here at the school.
I would be happy to meet with you. I can be found in the fifth grade hall.
I look forward to the 2008-2009 school year!
