Welcome to 2nd Grade! I am a native Tennessean and graduated from Middle
Tennessee State University with a Bachelor's Degree in elementary education
in 2000. I have a fabulous husband, also a teacher, and a gorgeous 2 1/2 year
old daughter named Sophia. I have taught both in Tennessee and here in
Atlanta. This will be my fourth year to teach 2nd grade and my second year
here at Sarah Smith Elementary. I love teaching and look forward to working
with you and your child to make this
school year a success.
It is my goal to create a true learning community. Using the IB philosophy
as a guide, I strive to help develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring
young people who become life long learners. Working with both parents and
students, I will support and challenge every learner.
