What is our routine for homework?
The purpose of homework is to extend and reflect on activities completed in
class. It is not meant to take more than 1 hour and should be done
independently. If homework is difficult or extends past the 1 hour limit,
please encourage your child to notify me the following day. Homework will be
turned in everyday at 8:00am. Homework is not to be done during school or in
the morning before 8:00am. Students who do not complete homework
assignments will complete the assignment during free time in class or the
following night.
If you do help your child with their homework, please highlight the specific
questions. This will help me during instruction the following day.

When can we celebrate birthdays?
I am happy to celebrate the student’s birthdays during the year. If you wish
to bring in snacks please do so during our lunch period from 12:25-12:55.
Invitations are welcome inside the classroom provided that all students are
invited. The invitations should be placed inside the student’s mailboxes
during the beginning of recess.

How can we communicate?
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I am
best with e-mail but you can reach me by phone too.

What is Friday Flect?
The Friday Flects stands for Friday Reflection. The students reflect on their
choices and work habits for the week. The students then create goals for areas
they would like to improve. Please look out for these forms to go home every
Friday. You wouldn't believe how excited the kids get about their Friday Flects!
