I have a Master of Education degree from Strayer University, the Atlanta
campus. I obtained my undergraduate degree from Chaminade University. This
is a marist college located in Honolulu, HI. Before entering into the
teaching profession I was in the Armed Forces, both Marines and Navy, for a
total of 13 years. I came to Georgia in 2002 and love living and teaching
here.
I believe that it is the responsibility of all teachers in elementary school
to develop in all children the core academic and social skills that will lay
the foundation for building more advanced knowledge during their entire
school experience. I firmly believe that knowledge and learning is like a
house that can either be "rented" or "owned". I want all students to own
knowledge. This can only be accomplished when they develop deep
understandings of the skills and concepts being taugh.
