I am a native Atlantan. After high school, I attended Georgia State University in Atlanta and
earned a degree in Art. I worked for a commercial interior design firm for 10 years before deciding to
stay home and raise my 2 daughters, Sydney and Amy, who both attended Sarah Smith! I taught Art
for eight years, part-time, before deciding I wanted to become a classroom teacher. In 1996 I went
back to school and earned a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education.
I did my student teaching in third grade at Sarah Smith and have been teaching third grade here since
1999. I love Sarah Smith and I think the students and parents here make it the best school in the
world!
We will try to always do our best no matter what we are attempting to accomplish.
We will support each other as we listen and work hard to learn.
We will strive to exhibit IB attributes and characteristics of the Learner Profile in everything we do, at
home and at school.
