I am a native Atlantan. My husband and I have two daughters, Sydney
and Amy, both of whom attended Sarah Smith. My husband composes
and produces music for radio and TV. He attended the University of
North Carolina at Greensboro where he received a degree in Music.
After high school, I attended Georgia State University in Atlanta and
earned a degree in Art. I worked for a commercial interior design firm for
10 years before deciding to stay home and start a family. I taught Art
here at Sarah Smith for eight years, part-time, before deciding I wanted
to become a classroom teacher. In 1996 I went back to school and
earned a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education.
I did my student teaching in third grade at Sarah Smith and have been
teaching third grade here since 1998. I love Sarah Smith and I think it is
the best school in the world.
We will do our best for ourselves and our classmates every day.
We will support each other as we listen and work hard to learn.
We will strive for excellence in everything we do at home and at school.
