2009-2010 FRENCH FOOD DAYS
HELP! HELP! I am still looking for a volunteer for Ms. Shelton's and Ms.
Welf's classes for the January (janvier) French Food Day. Please send me an
email or call if you're willing to assist in your child's French class. It's
an easy one -- baking two single-layer yellow cakes (NO FROSTING).
Second Grade
le 17 septembre (Thursday) -- Petit Ecolier (French cookies)& Orangina drink
le 19 novembre (Thursday) -- Les Madeleines
le 7 janvier (Thursday) -- Galette des Rois (French Kings' Cake)
fevrier -- Mardi Gras (Louisiana style Kings' Cake)- Date TBD
le 15 avril (Thursday) -- Quiche

Fourth Grade:
HELP! HELP! I am still looking for another volunteer for Ms. Yarbrough's
class for the January (janvier) and April (avril) French Food Days. Please
send me an email or call if you're willing to assist in your child's French
class.
le 11 septembre (Friday) -- Fromage (Cheese) & Baguettes / Our Cheese Tasting
Party
le 20 novembre (Friday) -- Pain au Chocolat
le 8 janvier (Friday) -- Galette des Rois (Authentic French Kings' Cake)
fevrier -- Mardi Gras (Louisiana style Kings' Cake)- Date TBD
le 16 avril (Friday) -- French sirop (syrup) mixed with water to make a
popular drink & Petit Beurre cookies (We will provide the sirop and
volunteers will purchase the Petit Beurre cookies and water.)
