Laquita Hardimon

Dear Parents,

My name is Laquita Hardimon and I am your child’s professional school counselor this year. I am looking forward to a wonderful year with your child! One of the primary aspects of my role as counselor is to equip your child for success at school. Being a successful learner means many things outside of the traditional academic subjects. This could mean learning how to get along with other children, making wise choices, managing feelings, accepting responsibility, and being aware of personal strengths and weaknesses.

I have the opportunity to conduct these lessons with your child’s classroom two times per month. These lessons support the teachers in promoting the skills that will help your child succeed in school.
I am also here to serve children who are facing life challenges. Family difficulties such as illness, death, or divorce may affect children at school. As a school counselor, I can support your child through these transitions by conducting small group counseling or providing outside counseling referral sources. Please feel free to contact me if your family is experiencing anything that might adversely impact your child’s learning success at school.

Please take a look at the grades that I serve and my educational background:

Grades Served: K, 2nd, & 4th

Education: B.A. Psychology, University of Tennessee at Knoxville

M.S. Human Service Management, McDaniel College
                  M.S. Community Counseling, Mercer University
Ed.S. School Counseling, Georgia State University
Licensed Professional Counselor, State of Georgia

I am looking forward to this school year! If I can be of any support to you, please call me at 678-842-6741 ext.224.
