About Me

Greetings All! I am Dr. Jana Ladner, the school psychologist for Smyrna Elementary School. I am a Florida native. I earned my Bachelor's degree in English from Florida State University. I earned my Ed.S. in School Psychology from University of Central Florida. And then I earned my Ph.D. in School Psychology with a concentration in Counseling at Georgia State University. I consider myself a curious person and a life long learner. And I love my job! I have two sons, one a freshman at Indiana University in Bloomington, and the other a junior in high school. I also have a wonderful husband and two adorable dogs.

At Smryna I work with the teachers and staff to help all students be successful learners and citizens. Within the school system I am part of the Psychological Services department. In addition to working at Smyrna Elementary I also work at Campbell High School. I have also worked with our Special Needs Preschool program, and with our SCERTS training team working with students in the school system who have an autism spectrum disorder.

I work in tandem with our fabulous school counselors, administrative staff, teachers and other school staff to support students and families in this school to reach educational, social and personal goals. Please let me know how I can help your child and your family be "Stars."
