A
bout Me
This is my second year at Smyrna Elementary. I am truly blessed to be working with such an awesome staff! I have been teaching for 31 years. I taught Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Special Needs children in Florida for 16 years and have been teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Special Needs children in Georgia for 15 years. 21 years of my teaching have been with preschool aged children. My husband Bradley and I have been married 22 years and have 2 new Shih-tzus named Bonnie and Clyde. Megan Estrada works in the classroom with me and we have been together for 2 years.

Classroom Mission Statement
To work and learn and play and to show others the positive light that shines in us. We are here to make the world a brighter place.

Early Childhood Learning

Below you will find links to educational games and resources we use in the classroom on a regular basis. A key component to teaching young children with disabilities is to activate their interest while teaching them early academic skills.

Starfall: This website is great for teaching letters and reading. Best of all its free!

DLTK: This website has many hands on activities to help a little artist develop early math concepts such as shapes and numbers, fine motor skills, letter recognition, and writing.
