Week of Nov. 16-19
Reading- We will read several Thanksgiving stories and practice the reading
skills/strategies from the past few weeks. We'll also put the final touches
on our play as we prepare to perform on Friday morning.
Writing-
We'll write poetry, review and practice editing skills, and review writing
summaries.
Word Study-
Homophones and contractions will be our focus.
Math- We'll continue to work on the following essential questions:
How can I count back change?
How can I tell time to 5 minutes using both digital and analog clocks?
Please spend some extra time counting back change with your student. This is
a difficult skill for some, but it is easier if one on one practice is
provided frequently.
Social Sciences-
We'll cover goods, services, wants, needs, and allocation methods.
