A little Q and A

Frequently Asked Questions: You asked, We answer!
  1. What can we do for birthdays?
  2. What is the best way to contact my child's teacher?
  3. What do we do if our child forgets his/her homework or folder?

What can we do for birthdays?

You may send in cupcakes, or another snack that does not need to be cut up.
Please send it in in the morning with your child. We ask that you do not send
ice cream. A healthy birthday treat is always encouraged! Good habits start
young!

What is the best way to contact my child's teacher?

Both Ms. Thompson and Ms. Chudoba prefer to be contacted via email. We read
it and respond to it within 24 hours (if not 24 minutes!)

What do we do if our child forgets his/her homework or folder?

If your child forgets his or her folder and homework at school, you may not
come back to school to get it. We are trying to establish personal
responsibility in Second grade. If your child forgets his/her homework or
folder, they need to face the consequences. Also take into account that
teachers have meetings, and other responsibilities, after school that make it
impossible to be in our rooms all the time. Other faculty members cannot let
you into classrooms for safety and liability reasons. Please understand that
although this may sound harsh, it is a lesson that needs to be learned. Thank
you for your understanding and cooperation.
