It's good to remember that what is special to a Kindergartner is much simpler
than we might imagine. One student described his day this way:
"Mom! Today was my Best Day EVER!! First, we had popcorn for snack. AND I
didn't get a card. AND I got a prize from the Prize Basket. AND we watched a
movie with our 8th Grade buddies. AND I got a stamp on my hand. AND it was my
Ice Cream Day. AND we saw the second graders' Class Mouse named Luna. It was
my Best Day EVER!!"
