About The Teacher

Meet the Teachers: Mrs. Merritt & Mrs. Nicolatos

Mrs. Merritt Says,

Mrs. Merritt has been teaching at STM since 1984. She has taught many
different grades and was the music teacher for a while, but she knows she
was born to teach kindergarten. She is proud and grateful to be sharing
this special year with your child and you.

Mrs. Merritt loves STM, but sometimes she has to go home. When she gets
there, she is met by a sweet little kitty named Amelie who wants something
to eat RIGHT NOW!!!! Mrs. Merritt loves all the arts. She enjoys jewelry
making, mosaic, crochet, and writing funny stuff for her family and
friends. She is a computer geek, so if you can't find her, look for the
closest computer! She also loves to read and go to the movies. In general,
Mrs. Merritt loves life and has a lot of fun.

Mrs. Merritt is the proud mother of her very own STM alum, Angela Merritt,
who went on to graduate from St. Pius X Catholic High School and Florida
State University. Angela got married over the summer and lives in Cleveland,
Ohio with her new husband, Jack.

All About Mrs. Nicolatos

I am excited to say that I have been at STM since 1986! Second and third
grade were fun, but Kindergarten is the most fun of any grade. We have
a lot of fun together!

Outside of school, I have five children. All of them are graduates of STM.
That's one of the reasons that I know what a great school STM is! Three of
my children, Katie, Melissa, and Beth are adults. Two of them are teachers
too! Chris is starting college at GA Gwinnett College as a biology major.
Brian is in 12th grade at St. Pius. I also have a granddaughter, Michaela,
who was 1 in May, and a grandson, Jacob, who will
be 1 at Christmastime!

We have an interesting collection of pets at our house. We have some
cats and fish. That's pretty normal, but we also have snakes, three
different kinds of lizards, and a ferret. (All thanks to Chris.)

I like to have fun camping and hiking, sewing and cross-stitching, and
spending lots of time with my children.
