Grade 2 Curriculum
Dear Parents, In second grade your child will be participating in a social skills curriculum. The purpose of the class is to teach children social skills -good manners- that will help them get along better with others and to feel better about themselves. We’ll begin the year with a review of the songs we learned last year in the Getting Along Series. The first social skill we’ll be learning about is EYE CONTACT. At the end of each lesson the children will be bringing you a HOME-A-GRAM which will provide you with information about the skill. It will be in their folder. It will also describe a home activity for you child to complete with your participation and supervision. When the activity is successfully completed, please sign the HOME-A-GRAM at the bottom of the page, and have your child return it to my “MAIL POCKET” in the classroom. Your child will then earn a sticker and be well on their way to becoming a SOCIAL SUPER STAR!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Fleming School Counselor 404-377-4520
