About The Counselors

Tom Perrine

Tom is beginning his ninth year as a school counselor, and 3rd year at 
Sweet Apple.  Tom divides his time between Sweet Apple and Shakerag 
Elementary School in Johns Creek.
 
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The 
University of Connecticut (Go HUSKIES!), a Master of Science in Management 
from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Master of Science plus 30-
credits in Counseling from Central Connecticut State University.  
 
His hobbies are crossword puzzles, coaching lacrosse, cycling, cooking and 
reading mysteries.  Tom was raised in Stewart Manor, NY and relocated to 
Roswell in 2004 from rural Coventry, CT. He has a daughter (19) and a son 
(9).

Lynn Haldaman

Lynn is the full time counselor and has worked at Sweet Apple since it 
opened in 1997.  She has been a counselor in several other elementary schools 
in Fulton County since 1987. Prior to that time, she counseled and taught 
elementary students in PA, and counseled in MN. 

She has a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Upsala College, NJ, a 
master's degree in school counseling from Kutztown University, PA, and a 
specialist degree in counseling from Georgia State University. 

In addition to her love for counseling, she enjoys gardening, reading, 
solving Sudoku puzzles, and singing in her church choir.  

She has one married son who lives with his wife in Greenville, SC.  They 
both work at Furman University.

Mission Of The Department

Counseling Mission Statement:

It is the Sweet Apple Counseling Department’s mission to support students' 
instruction and development of academic achievement, personal/social 
growth, and career awareness. 

 

Sweet Apple's counselors are here to help create a school environment that 
develops and supports student learning and achievement.  The counselors
