Our weekly homework consists of our students writing two sentences each
afternoon using our Saxon Phonics word list which comes home on Monday. On
Friday students will bring to our classroom a total of eight sentences.
Remember to encourage your child to sound out the words by stretching each
word in his/her sentence. We are not looking for "dictionary spelled"
words. We are encouraging independance. We will also be looking for
sentences to begin with uppercase letters and end with punctuation.
This homework assignment will continue throughout the school year.
