A. Classroom rules and behavior: To insure a safe and effective education
for everyone, the following classroom rules will be observed at all times.
1. Be in your seat when the bell rings.
2. Bring all books and materials to class.
3. No personal grooming during class.
4. Sit in your assigned seat daily.
5. Follow directions the first time they are given.
6. Always be respectful.
7. Don’t chew gum, eat, or drink in class. If caught doing so, you will
spend your break time cleaning the room.
B. Make-up work: No make-up work will be allowed for unexcused absences;
you will receive a –0- on any assignments for that time. Make-up work for
excused absences, including homebound, must be completed within three days of
your return to school. Each Friday you will have a vocabulary test. You
know this in advance, so if you are absent on a Friday, you must make up the
test the day you return to school. Announced tests and assignments missed
due to absences must be taken upon the day returning to school. Term papers
announced to be turned in on a due date must be turned in on that date or
prior to the due date. The missed assignment will not be accepted after the
due date without academic penalty. It is the responsibility of the student
to get the assignments or notes missed. Missed tests or quizzes may be made
up before of after school.
C: Break detention: For failure to stay in for one day, you must stay in
two days. For failure to stay in for two days, a discipline form will be
sent to the office. After you have stayed in three times for the same
offense, a discipline form will be sent to the office.
D: Tardies: If you are tardy to class, do not enter the room without a
tardy pass from I.S.S. or a note from a teacher. You are tardy to class if
you are not in your seat when the bell rings.
E: Restroom: If you must go to the restroom during class, you must give up
your break for that day or the next. You get one free visit.
