Overview:

Earth science involves a variety of sciences, such as Geology, Meterology, Oceanography, and Astronomy.  Students will explore these sciences through several different methods.  This course will include:  readings & discussion, laboratory experiments and field studies, internet and media as a tool for projects, and quizzes and tests.  Attendance and participation in class are very important components of this class.  If a student misses a class, it is his/her responsibility to make up all assignments.  Homework, including projects, will not be accepted late.

The Dynamic Earth

Geologic Time/ Beyond Earth

 

 

 

Grading:        Tests & Projects- 40%

                        Labs/Experiments- 25%

                        Classwork/Quizes/Participation- 20%

                        Homework- 15%

70-72         D

69 & below  F
