Welcome to May!!
This is always a happy and a sad month for the class. The happy part is that
it is almost time for Summer break- sun, fun and sleep. The sad part is that
we have to say goodbye to our rising kindergartners. Each one of them has
touched and enriched our lives in so many ways. We will miss them. Don't be
surprised if some tears are shed one the last day of school.
Looking back at April the highlight of our month was Camp Timber Ridge. The
children loved playing in the tent, roasting marshmallows over the campfire
and fishing in the pond. Just being able to sit on the sleeping bags was
exciting for them. We all enjoyed this unit but it is always good to get back
home in our classroom.
Our final units will focus on bugs, frogs and butterflies. We will be able to
watch tadpoles change into froglets (they are too small to change into frogs
before the end of the school year) and cocoons change into moths thanks to
our friends in the front office. We will also have several fun activities to
participate in during May. Please check out the calendar section of the web
page for the list of events that is happening this month.
This is the final web page of the 2008-09 school year. It has be a pleasure
and privilege to teach your children. You are all the greatest parents.
Thanks for all the support you provide your children and the teachers.
Happy Summer!
