I like to say "I do what I teach and teach what I do, " because I am both a
teacher and a working musician.
I hope my students learn as much from me as I do from them!
To have fun while learning and trying new things, whether students are more
or less experienced in music. EVERYBODY can be a MUSICIAN. A saying from
Africa says it all: "If you can talk, you can sing. If you can walk, you can
dance."
Students in all grade levels will learn musical skills and appreciation
through Speaking, Singing, Moving, and Playing.
Instruments used will include:
1.Unpitched Percussion Instruments (Hand Drums, Conga Drums, Shakers, various
Wood and Metal Instruments)
2.Pitched Percussion (Xylophones, Metallophones, Glockenspiels, Melody Bells)
3.Recorders (3rd, 4th and 5th Grades)
4.Keyboards
Activities in Music Classes develop individual and cooperative
skills,listening, memory, problem-solving skills, and
creativity.
And they're FUN!!
