Homework I believe the purpose of homework is to build students' confidence in grade level skills and to routinely practice and master those skills. With that said, there will be no "daily homework papers" sent home, rather there will be designated skills that your student needs to practice each night, Monday through Thursday.
Each night your student needs to read with you or independently for 10
minutes! Read, read, read! Each night your student needs to practice math facts (addition and subtraction to 10) for 10 minutes! In addition, on this homework page I will list monthly web links that you can find under the "Learning Links" page on my teacher web page. The learning links I suggest will correlate with academic skills that which can help your student practice and master academic skills. New learning links will be added as we move through the year.  HOMEWORK For AugustPRACTICE Remember to read every night and record it in your student's reading log!
