Accelerated Reader is a fantastic reading comprehension program that helps
students practice thier detail recall and comprehension skills.
Accelerated Reader is not a mandatory program and has no weight in
determining your student's academic scores. The purpose of A.R. is for
students to read a book and then take an online comprehension test about the
book.
Students will have the option of taking A.R. tests on the days they
visit the "Technology Learning" literacy center in our room.
Remember, A.R. is a beneficial tool for helping your student practice
comprehension, it holds no academic weight.
