This is my second year teaching 1st grade. I taught in Carroll County last
year and recently moved to the Atlanta area.
I graduated from the University of West Georgia in 2007 with a Bachelor's
Degree in Early Childhood Education. Then, I graduated again this Summer 2008
with my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
I love teaching and learning!
I have a rescued dog named Oliver who is rotten as can be!
This summer I am getting married on July 4, 2009.
As a teacher I believe that all children can and want to learn. My main goal
is to help your child learn to become an independent and lifelong learner.
In order to reach this goal, I will look at each child as an individual
learner, planning very carefully so that your child can feel challenged
without unnecessary frustration.
Another goal, for me as the teacher, is to teach children that their best
efforts are essential when completing a task. I want your child to develop
and maintain an “I can and will try” attitude. I feel this attitude enables
success.
