Our 4th annual Science Fair will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2008. The
Science Fair is open to students in all grades, K-5. Parents are
encouraged to also participate with their own entries--especially parents who
enjoy science or have professional expertise in scientific endeavors.
The Media Center has a great selection of books to help students find a
multitude of wonderful science project ideas! Using DESTINY, a bibliography
of available titles may be found either through a Visual Search or
under "Categories". Destiny's WebPath Express will pull up a "zillion" sites
for science fair project ideas and helpful hints.
Another great source of ideas is the Cobb Virtual Library [CVL]! Using the
CVL link from the Media Center Web site, begin with Grolier or World Book and
you will be off to a great start! The access to CVL is protected by
passwords, which are available in the Media Center and which are also given
in the Timber Ridge Times every month.
Also, under the link for Awesome Resources on the Media Center Web page, you
will find several informative sites for Science Fair Projects to jump-start
your brainstorming!
All entrants to the Timber Ridge Science Fair will be recognized. So, join
the fun. Be sure to visit the Science Fair from 6:00-7:00pm on Thursday,
March 27, 2008!
