
Timeglider Project Criteria
Purposes & Goals:
1. Develop greater research proficiency.
- ability to locate desired information
- ability to use accurate information
2. Become familiar with the Timeglider online application.
3. (a) Learn about the history and contributions of an important
mathematician, (b) embed this information in Timeglider, and (c) share your
creation and information with the class.
Include:
1. Date - and location - of birth and death (if applicable)
2. Significant life events (that influenced & shaped this person's future)
3. Any education this person received
4. Be able to answer the question, "How did this person come to discover or
create these mathematical ideas?" For example, what role did this person's
life events, birthplace, family members, and circumstances (e.g., poverty,
wealth, sickness, education) play in shaping this person's contributions to
math?
5. His or her mathematical contributions (including modern-day relevance)
6. Anything else you find interesting
