Language Arts Teacher

I was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on February 22, 1958. I graduated with a
Marketing degree from Southwest Missouri State University in 1980. When my
family moved to Marietta, Georgia, I continued my education at Kennesaw State
University and earned a Business Education degree and Middle Grades
certification. After graduation, I began teaching at Trickum Middle School.
I have taught business education, sixth grade, and seventh grade. In 1990, I
earned my Masters of Education from KSU. I recently earned my Specialist
degree at Piedmont College in May, 2011.

Personally, I have lived in the Lawrenceville area for twenty years. My
daughter, Nicole, attends Parkview High School and will be a senior this
year. She has been a cheerleader throughout middle school and high school.
She will be a varsity basketball cheerleader this year and plans to attend
Georgia Southern after graduation. My son, Jeffrey, will be a third grader
at Camp Creek Elementary School. He is active in boy scouts. Each summer,
we enjoy going to Disney World and the gulf coast beaches. I am a big fan of
the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Falcons. Summer time is also a great time
for me to read books and go to the movies.

This year at Trickum I will be the pep club sponsor.

Mrs. Cohorst, Mrs. Gritz, Mrs. King, and I have many great activities planned
for this school year. I look forward to another wonderful year at Trickum
Middle School!
