Weekly Homework

Homework every night.............Read, read, read and record what you read
on the reading log kept in the back of your red folder. If you need more
room, you can write on the back of the reading log. Always use your best
handwriting.....the kids.
I collect these reading logs at the end of each month and give out a new
one. Starting in October, those with the entire log filled out, will receive
a coupon for a free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut!

Also, please bring an AR (Accelerated Reader) book to class every day.
If you go to the "Links" page on this website, go to Tritt's website and
notice on the left side is "Accelerated Reader". Here you can find a list of
books on your child's level. A good level to insert in the online form is 1.5-
2.5 Once you put those numbers in the level area, a list of books will come
up that your child can check out at the Tritt library or your local community
library.

                                      Math

The above wesite has great math games and flashcards...very helpful for
practicing math facts.
Money!!! Add money, make change with money, money can be fun!
Time... always ask your child what time it is,especially using the five
minute increments. Second grade curriculum expect students to know the time
by five minutes, (2:35, 5:50, 12:15).

Please check the red folder nightly. Take out any papers for home and return
any that need to be returned. Every red folder has a behavior sheet. If
I've marked on it, please sign and return. If I have not, please keep the
sheet inside the folder. Thank you.
