I've been in Georgia since 1982. I've lived in the west, mid-west, north,
east and south. I attended University of Florida, but got my B.S. degree in
Early Childhood Education at Kennesaw State University and recently earned my
Masters there also. For the next year I'll be attending Georgia State
University to pursue my Specialist degree in Early Childhood Education.
Needless to say I enjoy school both teaching and attending.
I have two families, at home and at school. My family at home is becoming
smaller. My son starts his freshman year of college in the fall and my
daughter is a junior in college pursuing her teaching degree. So my husband
and two cats keep busy working, reading, playing tennis and traveling.
My school family at Tritt is great! I started out being very involved in PTA
when we moved here in 1994. I highly recommend getting involved with Tritt's
PTA. I did a lot of subbing and eventually worked in the P.E. department
which was great to get to know the kids and be active! For the past eight
years I've taught kindergarten and this year I'm lucky to teach second grade!
Every child can learn and should be given the chance in a variety of
enriching, educational experiences. My classroom is nurturing, fun, and
educational so children can be one step closer to becoming more independent
and a contributing member inside our school community as well as outside it.
