I was born in Union County and have lived here all my life. I graduated
from Union County High School. I received an A.S. from Young Harris
College. I received a B.S. and later a Masters of Middle Grades Education
from North Georgia College. I received my Specialist degree from Lincoln
Memorial University. I taught 6th grade language arts for over 20 years,
but have moved in 2007 to 8th grade.
I am married to Jim Everett, also a Union County native. I have a son, Dean,
and a daughter, Donna. Both are married and have given me four wonderful
grandchildren, Dalton, Lane, Maci, and Clay. I enjoy going to sports events
such as baseball, football, basketball, and cheerleading. I also belive
that life is precious and should be lived to your highest potential.
My greatest ambition for my classes is for them to master the skills needed
to have a full and rewarding life by achieving their goals in life. I will
try to help them reach their potential by teaching them correct English
conventions, skillful writing techniques, and pathways to achieve reading
mastery.
