Please initial your child's agenda daily. If a sticker is in the bottom box on the day, everything went well. If any behavior problems arise, they will be written in place of a sticker. I will email most communication from the school. Also check the web sites for updates each week. Students will be responsible for handing in homework every week. All homework is assigned on the first school day of the week and is due the last school day of the week. Homework should be completed in the homework journal each night. Journal pages should not be pulled or torn out. If you ever have any questions about the homework assignment for the day, please let me know. Your student should ALWAYS feel free to do MORE by explaining more or writing more. It is fun to be creative with your challenge work. Homework journals should be returned to school on the last school day of the week. Journals should be used ONLY for homework, not random drawings, notes, etc... Reading 10 - 15 minutes every night is an expected homework assignment. Log in any books you would like. I will check logs once a week. Make sure you are returning your book folder on your table color's assigned day (Tuesday: red and orange tables / Wednesday: yellow and green tables / Thursday: blue table). Visit bookadventure.org to take quizzes or play games related to your reading. Graded papers will be sent home in the weekly folder every other Friday. Group trips to the Media Center will be every 3-4 weeks. Students may trade Media Center books in small groups once a week. Please contact me if you ever have any questions.
