What is my class management style?

I like a somewhat relaxed atmosphere for the children. Though I hold them to
high expectations. Clear procedures and boundaries are set from the
beginning. I watch for desired behaviors to praise and redirect when
unwanted behavior occurs.

What are the classroom rules?

We only have ONE! Always Be Courteous! I find this rule covers just about
anything that may occur. It also eliminates a list for them to have to
remember.

What happens if you follow the rules?

Then you will feel good about yourself! You will also receive lots of verbal
praise and maybe a hand stamp or a sticker from the teacher!

What happens if someone is not being courteous?

First the student is given the 'teacher look' as a warning. If the behavior
continues; I will remind the student he/she needs to be courteous. Students
are with me for such a short time, I rarely have a problem. I believe if I
am doing my job correctly the children will have a positive experience.
