About The Teacher

I was born and partly raised in Newnan, Georgia. When I was thirteen my
family moved to East Cobb where I attended East Cobb Middle School, and
later, Walton High School. During high school I ran varsity cross country
and track. After graduating from Walton High School I attended Kennesaw
State University as a nursing major. After three years I decided to change
my major to early childhood education, and I must say, that was one of the
best decisions I have made. I did my TOSS and student teaching
experience here at Vaughan in second grade, and went on to get a job at
Vaughan in second grade. I taught second grade for four years and this year
will be my third year in third grade, so all together this year will be my
seventh year teaching. In May of 2007 I recieved a masters degree in early
childhood education from Kennesaw State University.

On July 3, 2004, I married a wonderful Cobb County fireman named Buck. We
bought a lovely new house in Acworth. On June 29, 2008, we welcomed our
first child into the world, Mason Bradley. We enjoy spending time together
as a new family, going to baseball games, playing with our Jack Russell
Terrier, Baylee, and spending time with our family and friends. I also love
to travel. Some exciting places that I have been are New York, San
Francisco, Cancun, Huatulco, Bahamas, Paris, Rome, and Costa Rica. As a
family we hope to travel to many more places in the years to come.

I am looking forward to a new school year and meeting lots of new faces.
