Students may go to the library before 7:50 AM or when classwork is complete. We go to the library as a whole class once a week. Does my child have to read an Accelerated Reader book? No, but I try to have the students check out at least one. Every child has a range of AR colors to choose from. The AR tests enable me, as a teacher, as well as you, as parents, to know how well your child is reading a book. How will I know how my child is doing academically in school? Of course, the best way to see how your child is doing in school is to review his or her homework (after it is completed) and classwork once it is completed and graded. Graded papers will also be sent home in your child's Thursday folder. Finally, grades will be posted on our classroom website under each subject area. Check back weekly to see updated grades. Your child should be responsible for checking with you. |
