Vaughan Elementary Parents, We have had a great school opening. The
children seem to be settling in for the school year and teachers are delving
into the Georgia Performance Standards. A new school year, usually presents
new challenges. It is important that we continue to enforce current policies
and procedures and make adjustments when needed. To increase the safety of
our students, we ask that all parents, picking up car riders and walkers,
wait in the car rider line or on the porch (where the walkers are released)
until your child is dismissed by the staff member on duty. We've instituted
a Car Rider Number System that has worked well over the years and will now
use a similar plan for walkers. If you have not been assigned a car
rider/walker number, please stop by the front office and complete the tag
registration form. In an effort to ensure that children return home safely
and with the approved person, we ask that you join in our efforts by
adjusting your practices to comply with the new procedure effective Monday,
August 24, 2009. Thank you for all that you do to help us keep our children
happy and safe!

Dear parents,
If you would like to eat lunch with your child, please wait for him/her at
the Parent Table. This year we have HUGE classes and unfortunately some of
the tables aren't big enough for parents too.
