How to earn an ‘E’ in Art
Please put your first and last name, teacher’s
name, and grade on the project and turn it in FIVE DAYS BEFORE THE END OF THE
QUARTER.
1) Create
a finished artwork. It cannot
be a tracing or paint by numbers or from a coloring book.
Drawings must cover the entire page and should not leave too much empty space.
Your artwork can be as big as a poster or as small as a postcard. It can also
be a small 3 dimensional sculpture.
2) Sketchbook
of 10 sketches. A sketch is not a
finished drawing, just an outline or doodling, etc. Does not have to be in a
bound book. However, all pages must be attached together.
A tracing does not count as a sketch.
3) Do a
1-2 paragraph report on an artist or artwork.
In the student's own words, write an informative report on an artist or an
artwork. Include a few pictures of the artist and his work.
4) Create
an artist collage. Similar
to the report, fewer words and more pictures are accepted. Please include
artists name as a title. Use words to describe
5) Watch a
TV special on art or an artist. Write
about it (1-2 paragraphs)
6) Visit
an art museum. Write about the
experience. Include a brochure (if you have one. The 1-2 paragraphs should
include the museum’s name and which artist was on exhibit. Also, write about a
particular artwork you remember seeing.
Extra Credit Due in all Special Area Classes:
• 1st Nine Weeks – Oct. 7th
• 2nd Nine Weeks – Dec. 17th
• 3rd Nine Weeks – March 10th
• 4th Nine Weeks – May 18th
