PE
We are very active in PE. EVERYONE needs to wear tennis shoes on PE days.
Remember to wear appropriate clothing for our high level of activity. It is
very difficult to work on many of our AKS skills when wearing a dress/skirt or
when you can't seem to keep your pants from falling down (a belt is very
helpful).
If your child is unable to participate in our program due to illness or
injury, please remember to send us a note. If they will have to miss for more
than a week, we would really appreciate a doctor's note
HEALTH
- Drink plenty of water. Your body needs as much water in the fall and winter
as it does in the summer. A minimum of 6-8 glasses a day, with an additional
1-3 glasses for every hour you exercise will do the trick.
- Try to exercise everyday. If you don't play a sport, walking is a great way
to stay in shape.
- Get enough sleep. Most kids need 8-10 hours of sleep every night.
-Learn to make good food choices. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables.
