To earn an ‘E’ in Science Special you
must consistently exhibit exemplary participation, show continuous skill
development in class, and complete one of the following tasks to be turned
into Mrs. Rivers or Mrs. Gracia before the grading period ends.
· Book
Report: Read a book based on one of the topics presented during class and
write a summary of at least two paragraphs.
· Model:
Create a model based on one of the topics presented during class and write a
summary highlighting how it relates to what you have learned in class.

Visit a science museum, aquarium, or
zoo: Write about your
experience. Include a brochure (if you have one). The 1-2 paragraphs should
include the museum’s name and what was on exhibit.

Experiment:
Submit one written
experiment which follows the INQUIRY- SCIENTIFIC PROCESS (see list below).
1.......Observe and
develop one interesting and meaningful question
2.......Write the
Hypothesis (prediction) as a IF............ THEN.........statement
3.......Do your experiment
(include 3 replications)
4.......Collect, record
and communicate your data (results) using tables,
charts, graphs,
etc

hypothesis?)

or possible investigations did this experiment make
you curious about??
Students should print and complete
a form for each experiment they wish to turn in. See Mrs. Rivers or Mrs.
Gracia for a copy of the form or print it out from the school’s website.
