Under the current month I will put what we are doing for that month. At the
end of that month I will place that announcement here. You will be able to
see at the end of the year the entire years lesson plans from Classroom
Guidance.
October
October is the month we learn about drugs and alcohol. We will have some
great discussions and the kids and have a lot of questions so be sure to talk
with them at home about counseling. We will be reading books, working on
puzzles, games, and watching some really good videos that will help them
understand some facts about drugs in a fun way. We will also do some role
playing on drugs and learn different ways to say no.
September
Time is already flying! Here we are in September and working on Stranger
Danger. Please make sure your child has a password that is just between your
family and child. We will be watching some excllent DVD's that give great
tips on ways to be safe, reading books on stranger danger and doing word
searchs and word jumbles on the same. As always, please feel free to stop by
any time and see what we do.
August
School has finally started and I REALLY missed my kids. I love looking at my
new Kindergartners. They are so adorable. Our uniforms are a great hit and
we should all be proud of how the kids look. August will be for studying
bullying, I always say this month is one of my favorite topics, but the truth
is they all are. We will be doing some activities, reading some books,
watching some videos and playing some games. Please asl your kids about what
we discuss in couseling and talk with them about it. It is very impotrant to
carry home and continue with what they have learned.
