Hi Parents,
It's that time of the year.. the Fall Festival is set for Thursday Oct. 22nd from 3:30 to 6:00. (No school on the 23rd).
Please bring a 6 pack of soda and 1 bag of individually wrapped candy, (NO Chocolate) to Mrs Head. She will see that it gets to the correct "storage" area. They need these items by October 20th.
Class Basket - Please send in either $5.00 cash or a donation - gift certificate from a business to put in our class basket. (Sealed envelope addressed to either Terri Holtzen or Lori Johnson ). Please send in by October 10th.
If you are interested in helping with the planning/setting up for the Fall Festival, please contact Gretchen Brand at
gretchenbrand@knology.net. Gretchen has lined up volunteers from Columbus High to take care of the booths. Thank you Gretchen, now parents can enjoy the festival along with the kids!

-Please review your child's reading test. That format will be used every Monday for novel tests.
-When your child takes an AR test at school, you can receive an email about the result of the test. Go to
www.mcsdga.net. Click on the "FOR PARENTS" tab. Click on Connect Ed. You will also have access to their AR record.
-You can access the lunch menu at www.mcsdga.net under the resources tab.
-Check out the "WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM" link on the home page of our class website. It
is a great way to boost those math scores.
-If you have not gone to the Accelerated Reading website, please go to
https://hosted50.renlearn.com/58131/and register as a parent. You will be able to
view your child's AR points for the nine weeks and average percent correct for the
school year. They should have 85% correct and 16 points by the end of the nine weeks.
-If your child rides a daycare van, please don't forget to call them when your child
will not be at school.
